A study presented in the 69th meeting of the American Society of Reproductive Medicine (ASRM) concludes that the Comprehensive Chromosome Screening achieves pregnancy rates of 64% in women older than 40 years.
Unlike the technology used previously, that only allowed the analysis of a limited number of chromosomes (approximately 9 of the 24 of the human genome) the CCS allows analyzing all the chromosomes of the human karyotype.
The detection of embryonic anomalies by means of this new technology allows improving the successful rates in the treatments of assisted reproduction in women of these ages.
